I am a collector. I save almost everything that I have some kind of emotional connection with. I save ALL my theatre tickets. I have a lot of playbills from theatre plays. I have weird post-its from playing a game of good ol' hangman just because I loved the creative words me and my friend came up with. I mean, it's sort of weird. But I also safe a lot of pictures. Which I personally think is not very weird.
So, I looked trough some photo's from a reaaaaaaaaaaally long time ago. And I mean reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaally long time. Maybe not that long, since I'm only 19, but still...
I came to realize that you have certain stages in your appearence over the years.
You of course have the cute baby-look. I'll save you the heartattack you will certainly get when seeing my baby photo's.
Then you have the: 'Aaaaaah she looks so cute unwrapping her gifts in her hand-picked dungarees she got from her grandma'-look:
Skipping to the next stage, which is the: 'Ouch, that almost went wrong, but at least it is all red'- look
(I am a mini golf master! Just saying!)
Then you have the: 'I am a big girl now, and big girls have problems that is why I look so worried'-look And the last, most embarrasing face is the: 'WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING. What's with the hair? Wasn't there ANYBODY who could have told me? Geesh, thanks mom.'- look
(The zoo was awesome!)
This is the least embarrasing one. Just to save you from dying of laughter! Your welcome!
So, this is me exposing my different appearances. Have fun with your own little trip down to memory lane.
Oh! What's that? Did that just came in the mail? And did I have to kick my little brother to the ground in order to capture it? HELL YEAH!
Let me explain. I have a confession to make. I bought an Ipod Classic. I am sorry to dissapoint you but it was time for a new musical device. My wannabee-Ipod decided to just die on the day I left for Venice, thanks very much wannabee, I love you too.
Anyways, that wannabee was fully loaded, so I had to buy something new because I had SO much more music I wanted to listen to. An Ipod is pretty awesome. I bought a pretty big one. 160 Gb. Just in case.
I do find one thing unattractive about an Ipod and that is the way it looks. It looks suuuuper boring! But my awesome travelbuddy knows an wicked site where you can buy a new skin for your Ipod (or any other fruit device)
So, I searched for the perfect match for me and my new Ipod. It took some thinking and evaluating and killing of certain darlings but I came to a decision.
Tadaaaaaaaa. It has yet to be applied on my Ipod but it looks awesome already! It came all the way from Toronto! I want to go to Toronto!
And just to be clear, I will not stop buying real, actual albums because I love albums. Period.
Oh. My. God. Did I tell you guys about my vacation? No? Man, it was wicked awesome! Best vacaaa evaaaa!
Seriously, we had so much fun! We met all sorts of people, from French jocks to a guy who had a lot of big stories about himself and his drinking problem to a transvestite about who we weren't really sure what 'it' was. I mean he/she snored like a really fat, nasty guy but dressed like a girl including the b-e-a-utiful trampstamp (thank you Jim Carrey for teaching me how to write beautiful)
Basically, I suggest that everybody has a little Interrail-trip through England and Scotland. Oh, and be sure to take the Lonely Planet about Great Britain. That was our bible, I am telling you! A bible!
After England, I needed sun, so I went to Italy with my family. To Venice. Venice is such a weird city. There are absolutely no cars. Everything happens on the water. Literally everything. I am taking about the ambulance, the police, the fire brigade, garbage, post. Everything. Super awesome!
When you are in the Venice area, be sure to check out Verona. Yups, the hometown of Juliet. From Romeo. It is very funny because there is a house that says it is actually her house.
Little fact: Romeo and Juliet wasn't and still isn't a true story. It is all fiction. So basically, people are making a picture of a house with a balcony. (yes, so did I) It is kind of funny! Other than that, Verona is a very pretty city.
I also saw a opera. About Romeo and Juliet and it took them 4 hours to tell the story. It was so, so, so, so, awesome! Words can not describe how awesome it was! The original arena was where the magic happened and we were sitting on these banches of stone and my behind was sticking to my plastic cushion because it was so hot and it was packed because when you get cheep tickets you have to sit very close to each other and it was just epic! Sweet, sweet story!
And now I'm home again. Not knowing what to do with my life. Any suggestions? No, I'm playing with you! Nowadays I am hooked on Friday Night Lights. Awesome show! And I cleaned my room again. Even awesomer!
