Just a little something to leave you satisfied

Here is the case. Today William and Kate married. I can call them William and Kate because I'm a close friend. And although I'm not really a I-want-to-have-the-big-wedding-I-have-been-dreaming-about-since-I-was-5-girl, simply because I have never dreamt of a big wedding. I'm not really thinking about marriage, I mean, I'm almost 19 and never been kissed.. what about marriage? But, today I saw that big royal wedding, and, whoops, there it was, that lovely feeling in your tummy. I can't help it. That wedding just had something magical. Just like a fairy tale. It's not that I want that kind of wedding now, please no! But it made me a little mushy and feel like a 5-year old dreaming about her 'big day'

Next topic: I just finished watching 'Raising Helen' which is the cutest movie! They danced, very romantic, to a really good song. So, as I am a huge fan of music I googled the song. John Hiatt was my man. Well, something I am not as well is a girl who mostly likes 'old' songs and musicians. This happened to be an 'old' song. It was written around 1994, I believe. I happened to like it. But, I'm also a sucker for romance and I believe this is the perfect song to dance to with your biggest love. Preferably in a small apartment in New York, with a wooden floor and creeky doors. It would also be great if there would be candle light, a summer breeze and a nice glass of wine. But that is just my imagination gone loose. That happens sometimes. You try it, is feels amazing. Dream whatever you want!

(Before you listen to the song, please do NOT watch the clip, but imagine a perfect situation with your love, and you'll get that special feeling in your tummy)(and if you're really curious, you can watch the clip. But only AFTER you've let your imagination go!)

Please don't be so charming, it hurts my bank account!

I'm a donator. I give money to charity. Since I'm a poor student, I won't ever be the biggest cash flow a charity can have, but every penny counts. (FYI, I give more than a penny)

I have to admit something though. The first reasen I give money to charity is the charming, mostly male, persons that come up to me in the streets. Yup, I'm one of those suckers. If you put a handsome bloke in front of me with a pretty face, who happens to be funny and has a convincing story I will donate money to the smallest, most unknown charity. Okay, I might want to know what the charity does and I do have to agree with their ideas but the reason that I actually do donate money are the blokes. If they didn't came up to me, I would've never given money. It's just that little step that makes the magic happen.

Partially, it is also sympathy. I mean, the poor blokes are being ignored most of the time and called all kinds of names all day long. And rain doesn't make their job any easier. Yes, I know it's their own choice. Yes, I know they get paid big time. Still, they deserve some respect.

So, today I added one charity to my list of handsome-blok-charity-list. This time it was Cedric for Proefdiervrij (google translate told me this: animal free trial) Did you know that over 1.5 million(!) animals are used for tests! Ridiculous! Anyroad, Cedric was very kind to me, very happy and gave me some compliments. There you have it. That is the key to Robins bank account (and, for you blokes out there, to Robins heart as well) So, I signed up. What? He gave me an Xzibit-you-just-got-pimped-ish-shoulder-thinggie! I mean, come on, how cool is that!
So, Proefdiervrij has €5,- more than it had this morning. Damn, there goes my...uhm...cup of tea in London... but I can stop whenever I want to, that's what Cedric told me! Let's not forget, animals will be saved by my €5,-

This situation has happened to me before. Not good. I should do something about that.
So, I would like to say this: STOP being so freakishly charming. It hurts my bank account!

Just a picture to break this otherwise über-boring post lay-out!

You're going to London in the morning? Yep! Have you packed yet? Nope. Shouldn't you go and pack then? Probably. Well, I have packed my bag in my head but I'll probably need some actual clothes, not just imaginary clothes. I will stop rambling now. Bye.

I wanted to post this on Facebook, but it didn't work, and I had to share it with you guys:

Grey's Anatomy, please never make a musical episode again.. it's just.. naaah..

This I didn't want to share on Facebook, but since I'm making a post, I might just drop this.
It has been about 11 months since I have been out of the country for more then 1 day, which is ridiculous long! Time to make a change! I'm leaving for London this saturday, yes, the day after THE wedding of the year! But still, I'm going to London! I've never been there, and I'm super excited! While being in London, I plan to buy one of these:

Yup, that is right! That is a totally wicked bus! And I will turn it into a take-away-home, so that I won't ever have to stay in the Netherlands for more than 11 months! And I will call one of you, dear readers, from these one:

After I have done that, I will go and see this guy:

And I promise to wear a smile, unlike the guy with the long black hair in the beginning! And I will make plenty of pictures to make you all very jealous!

Tell me what you want to hear, I'll give all my secrets away

From now on I will blog more and better. Pinky promise. it’s just that the school project has been sucking all the creativity out of my soul! I was a white blank page, sorry ‘bout that. But now, I have been developed into a colorful rainbow again and I will now tell you a little something something:

Last Friday (we’re getting down on Friday, fun, fun, fun! Die, die, die!) I went to see OneRepublic with my bestie! It was wicked awesome! They had an Amazing light show that just blew my mind away! I had a big grin on my face the whole evening!

They also had a very pretty stage. It was emptier than your every day concert stage, but that was with a reason. The lead singer, Ryan Tedder (teddy bear), was like a space monkey! He had so much energy, and a lot of cool moves! Situations where things would go horribly wrong for Robin were absolutely no problem for Mr. Ryan Tedder. This might have a little to do with the fact that I’m extremely clumsy, but we’ll leave it to the Mr-Tedder-is-awesome-explanation!

Example of my extreme clumsiness: today, my finger was stuck in one of the little trash cans in the train. Yes, that is right, I closed the trash can while my finger was still there!

These were some of my favorite songs: "All this time", "Marching on", "Good life". I wanted to put youtube video's here, from the live performance, so I searched and searched and searched and searched and searched and searched, but they were all blurry and with bad sound, and then you would think I'm deaf and blind, which I'm not, so I decided not to! And, and, and, and, they did an Adele cover. Wicked! Apparently Mr. Tedder co-wrote some of her songs!

This time I wasn’t singing along with all the songs, with the simple excuse that I didn’t know them all. Yes, I’m aware that I should have done my research.

Therefore, I found a next concert, of which I’m sure I will know all the lyrics, and that is Owl City. You know how I always wanted to marry him, well, that isn’t the case anymore. I now want to marry Darren Criss. Owl City will marry Taylor Swift, but I still enjoy his music. Since my bestie doesn’t enjoy his music, which is perfectly fine, I'm searching for a buddy. For those of you who want to join me, please leave ya name and ya number, and we’ll fo' sho' have fun!

Oh, and about the secret part: If you really, really, really, really, REEEEALLY want to know things about me... well, here's my offer: If you leave a certain interesting/funny/stupid/sad/happy question or topic, I'll pick some out, and blog about it! If you are too shy and you want to leave your suggestion anonymous, send me an e-mail or just don't fill in your name when commenting!

I'll see you soon then!

Just a little teaser..

The rest will follow later.. after my tummy is satisfied with eastern diners and ice creams. See you later, alligator!

Look! A rainbow!

"The way to someone’s heart is through a giant funnel full of Skittles attached to their bedroom ceiling."

Skittles. I love Skittles. They have such pretty colours. They taste amazeballs and.. and this is the coolest part.. they look like a rainbow! How Cool!

Gosh, what a similarity! It's like eating a rainbow! nice!

So. This is what happened today! I finished my horrible project!! Whoot whoot! Raise the roof! 5-second dance party.. *dancing*! Yihaa! Let's get this weekend started. Sure, I have to go to school tomorrow.. but still.. I finished my project..

What I learnt from that project, you ask? Well, that I will never ever EVER take a 9 to 5 job! That there is NO WAY I will EVER end up in an office behind a desk with a computer and that I'm really bad at finishing on time! C'est horrible!

Now, my beloved friends, I will watch my favorite tv-series. Yes! They have started again. I'm a happy girl! Starting with Glee, while dreaming of Darren Criss being my future husband. Sigh. Bye.

How to ride a bike

Living in a country like the Netherlands, cycling is a normal, every day activity. It is in your system and you don’t have to think about it. You jump on your bike and it works out. The only problem that occurs to me is finding my keys. But that is a different story.

As I am writing (I totally typed ‘riding’ first.. that is how dedicated I am) this little story, my little brother is teaching a Portuguese exchange student how to ride a bike. Well, I can tell you 1 thing, it ain’t easy! How do you teach one to ride a bike? You have to go back in time and think about how you learnt it yourself. You have to dig deep. And if it doesn’t work out, you can’t really give any tips other than: ‘just do it’ and ‘find your balance’. We grew up with it..

So, I decided to dig deep. Some of you probably heard this story before. I'm sorry, it just really markes the rest of my life.

Here it goes:

When I first learnt to ride a bike it was of course with training wheels. That went really well! I was a fast learner. Then, I had to try it on my own. And that is where it went wrong. Seriously wrong. I was cycling in a parking lot, which was supposed to be safer since there weren’t any cars. That would be the case, if my brakes would work. In this case they didn’t. So I was all excited because I could ride a bike on my own. And then there was a wall. The whole family watched me cycle into damnation and screamed: "HIT THE BRAKES! HIT THE BRAKES!! THE BRAKES! THE BRAAAAAAAAAKES!" 5-year old me: "they don't... WHAAAAA --> CRASH." Into the wall. Yes. That happened. Fact. Concussion. I was 5! Poor little 5-year old me!

I still have a bump on my fore-head. It is where all my intelligence hides!

I'm so sorry little paprika..

My heart always aches a little bit, when I open up a paprika, and there is a baby-paprika in it. It is just so small and adorable, that is hurts me to get it out. Still, the urge to eat the paprika is bigger than to safe the baby-paprika.. and if I don't eat it, somebody else will..
I apologise to all mother-paprika's with a baby-paprika in my fridge. You are just so yummy in my tummy, I'm sorry.

Shout out!

Yesterday, I went to The Naked & Famous, with Eline and Ivonne. Shout out to them! I had to! I promised. And I keep my promises! :) Gosh, I might start a blog with shout outs to all of my friends..

We had a blast, didn't we girls?! Although the keyboard player looked like he wanted to play his songs as soon as possible and go back to bed, the guy next to us was dancing like a fool, the bass player needed a serious hair cut and the beer tasted like water, it was suweeet! And the band is awesome! This is not my video by the way.. but we're somewhere in the crowd.. next to a foolish guy who can't dance.. but enjoyed the show very much!

Next concert? Dunno.. any thoughts?

Since I keep my promises: Remember Vera? Of course you do! This is her blog: blogofvera.blogspot.com. Awesome!
