I have to admit something though. The first reasen I give money to charity is the charming, mostly male, persons that come up to me in the streets. Yup, I'm one of those suckers. If you put a handsome bloke in front of me with a pretty face, who happens to be funny and has a convincing story I will donate money to the smallest, most unknown charity. Okay, I might want to know what the charity does and I do have to agree with their ideas but the reason that I actually do donate money are the blokes. If they didn't came up to me, I would've never given money. It's just that little step that makes the magic happen.
Partially, it is also sympathy. I mean, the poor blokes are being ignored most of the time and called all kinds of names all day long. And rain doesn't make their job any easier. Yes, I know it's their own choice. Yes, I know they get paid big time. Still, they deserve some respect.
So, today I added one charity to my list of handsome-blok-charity-list. This time it was Cedric for Proefdiervrij (google translate told me this: animal free trial) Did you know that over 1.5 million(!) animals are used for tests! Ridiculous! Anyroad, Cedric was very kind to me, very happy and gave me some compliments. There you have it. That is the key to Robins bank account (and, for you blokes out there, to Robins heart as well) So, I signed up. What? He gave me an Xzibit-you-just-got-pimped-ish-shoulder-thinggie! I mean, come on, how cool is that!
So, Proefdiervrij has €5,- more than it had this morning. Damn, there goes my...uhm...cup of tea in London... but I can stop whenever I want to, that's what Cedric told me! Let's not forget, animals will be saved by my €5,-
This situation has happened to me before. Not good. I should do something about that.
So, I would like to say this: STOP being so freakishly charming. It hurts my bank account!
Just a picture to break this otherwise über-boring post lay-out!
You're going to London in the morning? Yep! Have you packed yet? Nope. Shouldn't you go and pack then? Probably. Well, I have packed my bag in my head but I'll probably need some actual clothes, not just imaginary clothes. I will stop rambling now. Bye.
