Christmas is over. Sad face. Mine was so great. On the first day of Christmas my uncle dressed up as Santa Claus and welcomed us with some wine. Epic uncle!
After that we had 4 starters, 4 main menus and 4 deserts. It was craycray! So much food. I loved it! We had dinner from 5 pm till 11 pm. Insane! We had such a good time craving food and telling stories about how our dads used to take a bath in a giant bucket and share the water. Sweet! I love Christmas. EAT ALL THE FOOOOOOOD!!!
Since the Dutch society likes to have loads of food and loads of free time we have 2 Christmases! Huzaaaa! MORE FOOOOOOOD!!! And more family time! This time it was the family on my dad’s side. This family is cookoo crazy and I love it! We played charades and made so much noise. That family always gives me hope since all of them were single and a geek at my age. It runs in the family. Awesome!
As for the winter, it was suppose to be the coldest winter EVAH! Well, so far so good. It is not really cold. I mean I can’t wear my bikini outside but it is relatively warm for the end of December. But in case the winter will arrive somewhere in freaking February I am prepared:
Hells yeah, that is indeed my homemade scarf. Turned out pretty well didn’t it? Better than the bauble in the tree!
Hey Robin, what’s that on the background? You didn’t tell us about your awesome map of the world underneath your bed where you put pins on the places you've been! I didn’t? Gosh, I am terribly sorry. Here’s a better picture:
This map has a funny story about it because I bought the biggest one in the shop just because I really liked it. That wasn’t my smartest plan since I hadn’t measured any spare walls in my room. Turns out it was way too big for any wall in my room. Oops. Therefore we had to cut out some parts of New Zealand and some islands on the coast of America. Sorry ‘bout that. Also, Russia is my main supply of electricity. Yups. Next time I’ll think before I buy!
Last but not least I’ll tell you a little story about what I figured out the other day. Whenever I leave for a long time I start picturing myself in outfits walking down the streets of my destination. Therefore I’m already planning my days left here and when I have to wash the clothes I want to take with me. So, if you see me walking around in weird clothes or you think they’re new… they’re probably not new, on contrary they will be super old because I have to keep my awesome clothes clean to take with me. *weirdo*
That was not the last story! Muhahahaha. Today I went shopping (more clothes to take with me) As I was walking down the main shopping street in the beautiful city that is Eindhoven I noticed that there were a lot of couples shopping. I also noticed that usually the men of the couples didn’t look very happy. I also saw that in the stores the men are usually sitting on chairs outside the fitting rooms with all the bags and the women are trying on mountains of clothes. It is a very funny sight. Usually I’m the one sitting outside the fitting rooms with a pile of bags while my mom tries on all her clothes.
Guys! Guys! I bought a new CD. It is the new Black Keys album and it is rocking my speakers, booooy! I’m one of the few people who still buy albums because I genuinely believe that the money still goes to the artists and I love the little books that are in the front!
So The Black Keys is a band that I found when I had one of my crazy days and bought a gazillion albums just by the covers. I do that sometimes. If I think ‘hey, that album looks cool. It is not expensive. Let’s buy that thaaang!’ I buy it! Sometimes the CD is awesome, sometimes it is whack. The Black Keys are awesome!
This is the album I bought on the looks
This is their new album. It says "Play Loud" How cool is that!
That was it. It was a chaos but I had so much to tell you and didn’t want to split it up into 10 posts. Deal with it.
